Creation of architectural and artistic concepts for mixed office and residential halls with integrated bicycle room…

The Métamorphoze workshop was once again called upon to create exceptional user experiences (signed FBL – artist designer Franck Blériot) and to redesign the new entrance halls, the circulations, the bicycle room of a group of high-end real estate developers.   A new constraint is the hybridisation of spaces, which brings together an entrance hall, a bike room, a bike repair station, a letterbox area with a box parcel box, etc.! A successful bet.   Trend books, realistic 3D, integration of contemporary frescoes, choice of materials, signage, execution books, proposal of "industrialization" processes with a view to optimizing costs, decoration of show apartments... We support our real estate developers in the vision of the interior architecture of buildings by 2030. We integrate technology, psychology, security... in the face of new life AND purchasing behaviors. Programming 2024,2025,2026.   We took the opportunity to honor the works of Laurent Dorchin.

The Value of Creating Beautiful Frescoes and Works of Art in Building Hall Entrances

Building lobbies, often considered as transitional spaces, are nevertheless the first places that residents, visitors, and employees discover when entering a building. They give a first impression of the entire building, and their aesthetics influence the perception of the place. More and more condominiums and businesses are choosing to transform these spaces by incorporating beautiful murals and works of art, combining functionality and aesthetics. But why invest in art to decorate these spaces? What are the practical and symbolic advantages? Here are a few reasons why murals and artwork in building lobbies can make a real difference.

1. Create a positive and welcoming first impression

The building lobby is the first visual contact that occupants and visitors have with a building. An aesthetically pleasing entrance, with well-thought-out murals or carefully selected works of art, immediately creates a positive impression. This can reflect the attention to detail, modernity or class of a building. Whether it’s a residential building or an office building, a well-decorated lobby gives an image of prestige and quality. The murals create a unique and welcoming environment, transforming a sometimes austere space into a warm and friendly place. The colors, shapes, and textures of artwork can instantly capture attention and put visitors at ease.

2. Enhance the value of the building and increase its attractiveness

Investing in the artistic decoration of a building lobby is also an effective way to enhance the building, both aesthetically and financially. A well-decorated entrance hall can add perceived value to a property. Future residents or potential tenants will be more inclined to choose a building where the entrance is neat and gives off an impression of prestige. In addition, a tastefully decorated lobby makes it stand out from other buildings in the neighborhood. Whether in a residential or professional context, art helps to enhance the attractiveness of the building and create a pleasant environment for its occupants. It is becoming a key argument for attracting new residents or businesses, while retaining those already there.

3. Strengthen the identity and unity of the place

The frescoes and works of art in the building lobbies also reinforce the visual identity of the place. These works can be custom-created to match the spirit of the building, whether historic or modern, residential or professional. By choosing artistic themes that reflect the local culture, the values of the occupants or the history of the place, a strong link is created between the art and the building. This helps to forge a collective identity among residents or employees, creating a sense of belonging. The hall then becomes a space that tells a story, speaks to people, and creates an emotional connection with the place.

4. Improve the well-being of occupants

An aesthetically pleasing and well-decorated environment has a direct impact on the well-being of the people who frequent it. Studies show that art in common areas can reduce stress and improve the mood of individuals. Poetic, abstract or natural scene murals bring a calming dimension to a building lobby. In addition, these works of art, by stimulating creativity and imagination, allow residents or employees to disconnect for a few moments from their daily lives. This can create a sense of relaxation when entering or exiting the building, improving the quality of life for the occupants.

5. Promote art and culture

Building lobbies decorated with works of art can also become permanent exhibition spaces. They promote local or national artists, while making art accessible to all. In some cases, the creation of murals can even involve artists in residence, strengthening the connection between art and community. This artistic choice makes it possible to make the occupants aware of the beauty and diversity of artistic forms. It also creates a more open atmosphere, where art is no longer reserved for galleries or museums, but becomes a natural component of everyday places.

And finally to summarize…

Creating beautiful murals and integrating works of art into building lobbies is an approach that goes far beyond simple decoration. This brings real added value to the building, improves the well-being of the occupants and helps to strengthen the identity of the place. By transforming functional spaces into places of artistic expression, we enrich the daily experience of residents, visitors and employees. Art, in this context, becomes a bridge between aesthetics, well-being and culture, while enhancing the value of real estate heritage.
